About

I’m a visual artist currently exploring compositions of the constructed + projected (moving) image. I have a background making miniature architectural structures in glass, housing projected video animations. I began working with glass + the moving image at The School of Art in Canberra, Australian National University. More recently I’ve inverted my practice to explore how glass (as optic-machine) can (re)construct images. I’m projecting cues from my surrounding environment, (using systems of mirrors, lenses + light sources). This is in addition to re-visualising forgotten moments from the past, focusing on historical moving image techniques, to form new composite ‘live’ images. I’m questioning ideas of the ‘real’ in perception. I also have an interest in the idea of wonder.
