      <image:title>Artwork - 24-sided nano-milled polygon mirror</image:title>
<image:caption>My ANAT Synapse Residency MirrorMirror emerged from wide ranging interests in historical and contemporary optical devices and the projected image. It was a collaboration with Dr Geoff Campbell at the ANU Research School of Physics, exploring how mirror can be used as a material component in the dynamic generation of optical moving images. Each facet of the optical component is cut with a different pattern on the nano-lathe, so that when each facet rotates within the line of the optical system, it generates a different optical image to create the illusion of movement.</image:caption>
